Casted on the Eighty Degree Scarf pattern by Wendy Leisy today. This is my favorite type of scarf; fine-gauge yarn knitted up into simple garter stitch with some low-stress detailing. Soft, fluffy, and cozy as hell. Can’t wait to cuddle up in this one.
I’m in love with this yarn, too; it’s Manos del Uruguay Alegria superwash merino in Cielo Azul. I spent the first 15 or so years of my knitting career working with harsh acrylic yarn and plastic needles with cat-gnawed tips that split the yarn. Being able to work with luxe yarn like this is a genuine pleasure and a major source of gratitude.
